Both use Apple Intelligence, so it has to be turned on in System Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri, on a Mac that supports it. Apple may also need to finish downloading its model after you turn it on. Every other feature works without Apple Intelligence.

Right-click the underlined text, or use the issue in the Issues list. Ignore hides that one issue. Turn Off Rule stops the rule everywhere, and you can turn it back on in Settings › Rules.

If you think the rule is wrong, choose Report False Positive. It opens an email to us with the rule and the sentence, which you can read before sending. Those reports are how the rules get better.

Right-click it and choose Add to Word List. You can see, edit, import and export the list in Settings › Word List.

Open Settings › Rules, choose Add Folder… and pick the folder that holds the pack's YAML files. Stylemark checks against those rules as you type. Words in the folder's accept.txt join your word list. If a rule file can't be loaded, Settings shows which one and why. After you edit the rules, choose Reload.

Style rules and grammar checks are for English. When a document is clearly in another language, Stylemark skips them and checks spelling with macOS in that language. You can also turn on macOS grammar checking for those documents in Settings › Rules.

Markdown and plain text files. Stylemark saves them as ordinary text, so they open in any other editor. If you haven't used Markdown before, Help › Markdown Basics shows what each formatting command does.

No. Every check runs on your Mac, and Stylemark has no account or cloud service. The privacy policy lists the few times the app uses the network, such as showing a web image your document links to.
